In the UK 10s of churches have been sold  on discounted rates to be converted into masjids.  Christians are happy that a building erected to worship God remains to be used for the purpose albeit by another.  Also it is worth noting that the sultan bought the church with his money.   The transfer documents are displayed in Istanbul museum.
